Jana Acciacca

Title: Faculty

Jana is a Cecchetti-trained and certificated dancer that hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her experience includes jazz, tap, ballet, acro, cheer and pom/song, as well as additional training in character and cultural dances. “Old School” training from greats such as Gus Giordano, Tina Landon and Paula Abdul are highlights on her resume. Jana taught dance early in life during high school and college, then took time to follow a career in sales and editing and to raise her two beautiful, dancing daughters before returning to teach full time at HAD and Westmont Elementary’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program. She also enjoys teaching tap through the Ballet Etudes Outreach program at local
Huntington Beach elementary schools. One of her favorite extracurricular activities is participating in Ballet Etudes’ The Nutcracker as “Nana Jana” – Clara’s grandmother – in the Party Scene of our performances! She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring her own style of “dancy, jazzy and character tap” to the students at HAD and looks forward to continuing to educate the amazing dancers
at our studio.
